Quick answer
- Patch 1.13.00 allows Oongka and Damiane to enter the Abyss.
- The change moves the Memory Fragments for Corrupted Caliburn, Goyen, Draven the Crowcaller, and Clockwork White Horn.
- If a rematch clue seems to have disappeared, check the updated Memory Fragment list before assuming the boss is locked.
The 1.13 Abyss change is more important than the headline makes it sound. It affects who can enter certain story spaces and, as a result, where some boss-rematch clues appear. If you have been following an older rematch route, the old location may simply be out of date.
What changed in Patch 1.13
Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss. The official patch notes specifically call out four rematchable bosses whose Memory Fragment locations were changed: Corrupted Caliburn, Goyen, Draven the Crowcaller, and Clockwork White Horn. Read this as a route change, not a new boss requirement.
How to rebuild your rematch route
- Update to Patch 1.13.00 or later and make a manual save before entering the Abyss.
- Open Knowledge or the Memory Fragment list and check the boss entry you want to revisit.
- Use the current marker and character access rules instead of an older video timestamp.
- Enter with the character whose Abyss access you want to test, then confirm the rematch clue appears.
- If the clue is still missing, reload once and verify the original boss encounter was completed on that save.
Bosses affected by the location change
| Boss | What to recheck | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Corrupted Caliburn | Memory Fragment location. | The old route may point to the pre-1.13 space. |
| Goyen | Fragment list and Abyss access. | Character access changed with the patch. |
| Draven, the Crowcaller | Current marker before travelling. | Do not rely on an old screenshot alone. |
| Clockwork White Horn | Rematch entry after the first clear. | The fragment clue may now use the updated route. |
Do rewards change too?
The official notes confirm the access and Memory Fragment changes, but they do not describe a new reward table for these rematches. Treat the update as a location and routing change unless a later notice says otherwise.
If an Abyss run still behaves strangely
- Reload from a manual save made before entering the Abyss.
- Check whether the save completed the original boss encounter.
- Test the route with the character the patch now allows into the Abyss.
- Report a repeatable missing-fragment issue with the boss name and save state.
