Crimson Desert Field Guide publishes English-language player references for Crimson Desert. Our editorial standard is simple: help a reader make a better decision without hiding uncertainty or presenting a report as a confirmed fact.
Source and update status
Where a source record appears on an article, it identifies the evidence type, a primary source link when available, and the date the page was checked. We use three reader-facing states:
- Current: checked against a relevant, recent source.
- Time-sensitive: useful information that may change with a patch, platform update, or notice.
- Archive: retained for historical context and not presented as a current recommendation.
Evidence standards
- Official notices, storefront pages, and platform documentation are preferred for release, patch, account, and availability claims.
- Community posts, social discussion, and player reports may be used as context. They are not final confirmation by themselves.
- Specific routes, rewards, hidden interactions, combat behavior, and other test-dependent claims are treated cautiously. We do not publish them as settled fact when the evidence is weak.
- Site tools can help with routine monitoring and draft organization, but they do not replace source review or editorial judgment.
Writing and maintenance
We favor a direct answer near the top of a page, clear scope, dates where they matter, and links to the most relevant supporting pages. We update an existing page when it is the better answer instead of publishing a thin variation of the same topic. News summaries add player context rather than copying source material.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, stale, unclear, or missing important context, email contact@crimson-desert.xyz with the page URL, platform, patch version, and a short explanation. We prioritize progression blockers, account and save risks, platform issues, wrong source attribution, and misleading time-sensitive claims. See Corrections for details.
